- PDDP Reference Files
- 2002 - 2003
- Beginning in 2002, I devoted a great deal of time and energy creating "Help" and object-reference files for
Pure Data in loose collaboration with the Pure Data open-source developers group. Since that time,
my original work has become a standard part of the software's main distribution at SourceForge.net and has spawned a series of related efforts by other Pure Data developers and
users. The PDDP has grown into a multi-faceted project dedicated to continuing my original work and providing a body of
literature (including tutorials, code examples, guidebooks, curricula) for new and experienced users of Pure Data.
- "Cranium"
- 2002
- Commissioned by
Jamagination LLC, California.
- My work with Jamagination LLC
focused primarily on the creation of an audio loop-recorder developed in C++ and Pure Data for their
project called "Cranium". I was employed to build a "proof-of-concept" software tool which would record radio, television, and internet broadcasts. The audio loops gathered using
my prototype audio loop-recorder could then be "finger-printed" and catalogued. "Cranium" was an international effort headed by Jamagination LLC to promote Copyright accountability in the media industry by comparing "actual royalties paid" to "royalties warranted". Interested parties included
BMI and unnamed popular artists.
